MT5 Keeps Freezing or Crashing – What to Do?

Common Causes:

• Too many charts and indicators running

• Corrupt installation files

• Insufficient system memory

Fixing the Issue:

1. Close Unnecessary Charts & Indicators

   • Too many active indicators can slow MT5 down.

   • Close extra charts or remove heavy indicators.

2. Check for Pending Windows Updates

   • Make sure your operating system is updated.

3. Delete Cache Files

   • Go to File > Open Data Folder.

   • Open the logs and cache folders and delete old files.

4. Increase Virtual Memory (RAM Usage)

   • Go to Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Performance.

   • Increase your virtual memory (page file size).

5. Reinstall MT5

   • Uninstall and reinstall MT5 using the latest version from your broker.
